Aaron & Chris.
I shot Chris’s wedding video, and knew that his wife was one of the new baristas at Cultivar. When I stopped to photograph him, he & his friend decided to talk about each other instead of themselves.
Chris said Aaron is a skater, a lover of life, and an Aldous Huxley impersonator.
Aaron said Chris is head of security at UNT (not true), a trophy husband (somewhat true), and has a sweet astronaut Jesus tattoo (very true).
Here is that tattoo…

Andrew.
He was the teacher’s assistant in my Advanced Film class, back when he was an RTVF grad student at UNT. His thesis film was about Belfast, and I hear it’s amazing.
He plays Gaelic football, which is a sport that’s been around since the 1880’s. It’s a bit of a combination of soccer, rugby, and volleyball. His team out in LA just placed 3rd in Nationals. Unfortunately he wasn’t there because he’s in Texas working on a feature length horror film.

Hypnotic Donuts & Cultivar Coffee had their soft opening last night and the line was nearly a block long. I ran into lots of people I knew, and heard a lot of great things about the place.

They will be having their grand opening on Wednesday, September 3rd. Be sure to check it out!
